It’s the duty of private enterprise today more than ever to take on social responsibility, especially where public resources are lacking. For a family business like TALKE, accepting responsibility for our fellow man and making a commitment to those less fortunate is a basic element of our company philosophy.

In 2005, all funds earmarked for this commitment and all the group’s charitable activities were gathered into an in-house foundation to make sure such undertakings remained sustainable. The reason: to be able to help those who cannot eke out a humane existence without support, and to do so fast and efficiently.

Since, with very few exceptions, children are the first to suffer from social injustice and neglect, helping young people in eastern Europe is the primary goal of “LIGHT foundation – live in greater hope for tomorrow”. Its efforts should contribute to an enduring improvement in these children’s living conditions and give them perspectives for a better future.
