Jubail, Saudi Arabia, May 27, 2024 | TALKE, one of the world's leading providers of logistics solutions for the world of chemistry, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its joint venture S.A. TALKE in Saudi Arabia.

In the late 1990s, TALKE recognized the enormous growth potential of the GCC region and reached out to its key customers in this area to introduce the then-new concept of onsite logistics solutions. The success story began in 2003 when the chemical company Tasnee entrusted TALKE with packaging, maintenance, and storage solutions for its new PP plant. This led to the establishment of the joint venture with Aljabr, which later evolved into today's S.A. TALKE through a partnership with Sisco. This was the starting signal for the TALKE Group to develop into a significant player in the region.

Richard Heath, now CEO of TALKE USA and then manager for expansion in the Middle East, recalls: “At the end of 2003, we mobilized our startup team to Jubail and laid the foundations for our joint venture. Our vision was to provide high-quality and safe services – as TALKE had been doing for over 50 years at that time – and to create growth for the region. We started in 2004 with 58 employees and hoped to develop into a market leader. Today, 20 years later, we have long since achieved this position and employ around 2,000 people at S.A. TALKE. The journey of the past 20 years has been marked by hard work and tireless dedication. We congratulate and thank everyone who contributed to making S.A. TALKE what it is today.”

The celebrations for the 20th anniversary were accompanied by a major event that honored the milestones and achievements of S.A. TALKE. Richard Heath said at the event: “It was an honor and a privilege to celebrate the 20th anniversary of S.A. TALKE. The start of our operations in Saudi Arabia was a significant milestone for the international development of the TALKE Group and an important step in my personal career. My main message during the event was: It's about the people.
