Every day, the customer delivers chemical granulates from the production site to the TALKE chemical logistics center in Hürth. The granulates reach TALKE in different ways: By silo truck, in bag-in-a-box containers or as conventional palletized goods.

TALKE offers customers maximum flexibility right from the incoming goods stage. Delivery by silo truck can be made directly to the high silo, where the product is transported into the silos using compressed air. The bag-in-a-box containers are stored in the integrated container depot. This depot is equipped with two gantry cranes and a reach stacker, which enable efficient handling of the containers - the SAP-supported system determines the perfect storage location. If a delivery is made on pallets, these are immediately sent to one of TALKE's highly secure chemical warehouses.

In the next step, TALKE adjusts the incoming goods so that the appropriate containers are stored according to the customer's specifications. Be it a certain stock level in the high silo or a specified number of pallets. Bagged goods into bulk goods and vice versa? No problem: TALKE's scope of services includes slitting bagged goods and transferring them into silos as well as filling them into sacks or big bags from bulk goods.

TALKE also offers its customers maximum flexibility for outgoing goods. A typical scenario demonstrates the efficiency of these processes: The customer's companies to be supplied can only collect the goods in silo vehicles, as they would otherwise not be able to unload them at the production site. If the required granulate is in one of the stored bag-in-a-box containers, for example, TALKE uses the tipping platform to transfer the goods into silo vehicles with the help of gravity. The silo vehicle is loaded within a very short time and the goods can be transported to the customer on time.

Alternatively, customers can also collect the granulate directly from the high silos. The silo vehicle drives under the high silo system and is loaded quickly and efficiently. Once they arrive at the production site, they can then unload the granulate back into the high silos using compressed air via risers.

A completely different scenario arises for the export of goods, for example. Here, TALKE offers the option of loading pellets from all types of packaging supplied into special inliner-equipped box containers. TALKE also handles the installation of the inliners, which can be particularly necessary for unpaired traffic flows. Unpaired traffic flows often occur when the number of outgoing shipments does not match the number of incoming shipments.

Thanks to TALKE's comprehensive and flexible logistics solution, customers can serve their customers efficiently and in line with demand. TALKE ensures that the goods are always available as they are needed - whether by silo truck directly from the high silos, filled from bag-in-a-box containers or as palletized goods from the warehouses.

The optimized processes and high flexibility lead to a significant improvement in supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. In production, the manufacturer can fully focus on the economically sensible production and delivery type without having to worry about the required packaging type in sales. At the same time, the solution offers maximum fulfillment of customer requirements with regard to sales packaging for every product and every container type. This increases the delivery capability for all product and packaging variants.

This flexibility also reduces logistics costs, which would otherwise require the storage of many or all products in every required packaging form. Overall, the total volume stored can be reduced.
