S.A. TALKE awarded NATPET polymers logistics

  • Specialist logistics to further enhance supply chain efficiency
  • On-site services for polypropylene include warehouse management and product handling
  • S.A. TALKE extends availability of services in Saudi Arabia from east coast to western province.

The Saudi Arabian-German chemicals logistics joint venture S.A. TALKE has awarded the on-site logistics for National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) in Yanbu, province of Medina. Both companies have announced their partnership, to enhance supply chain efficiency.

As of 1st. of January 2016 S.A. TALKE will operate the on-site logistics for NATPET in province Medina´s Yanbu industrial city. The contract is signed for an initial period of three years and encompasses product handling and warehouse management. The products are premium grades PP from the LyondellBasell Spheripol process for e.g. heterophasic and random copolymers. NATPET is considered one of first few companies in the region to utilise this economical method to produce a wide range of premium-quality PP grades.

With this youngest contract, S.A. TALKE extends the geographical availability of its services from its traditional core area Al-Jubail industrial city, on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia´s east coast, to the western province. “We are very honoured to be entrusted with this part of NATPET´s supply chain”, states Oliver Klingbeil, Managing Director of S.A. TALKE. “This once again proves that we have the right strategy in the right place to support GCC petrochemicals producers with state-of-the-art specialist logistics in order to powerfully and efficiently meet the demands of their customers.”

NATPET is subsidiary of Alujain Corporation and is operating its petrochemical complex of 400,000 mt/year of both propylene and polypropylene plants at the industrial city of Yanbu.
