TALKE renews fleet of tractor units for higher safety and environmental standards

The first of 150 new Actros L trucks from Mercedes Benz enter service this week.

TALKE, one of the world's leading providers of logistics solutions for the chemical industry, is once again focusing on the highest standards of safety and environmental protection: by renewing its fleet for the Germany, Poland and Luxembourg, the company is underlining its commitment to greater safety and sustainability in road transport.

In total, TALKE is renewing around 150 SZMs in its fleet in the coming weeks. This week, the company is putting the first five Actros L model SZMs from Mercedes Benz into service. These vehicles are equipped with the latest safety systems, such as the new Sideguard Assistant, which detects pedestrians and initiates automated braking to a standstill if necessary. Audible and visual warnings of hazards when turning are also displayed. In addition, all tractor units feature Turn Assist, Distance Control Cruise Control, Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist and other safety systems that meet TALKE's high safety standards. In addition to safety features, TALKE also attaches great importance to sustainability. The current series of the Actros has a significantly improved drive system, while fuel consumption is reduced by up to 4% compared to the predecessor engine. This significantly reduces the CO? emissions of the new TALKE fleet. In addition, a newly developed and integrated emission control system ensures the best compromise between efficient combustion and AdBlue consumption.

"We are proud to add the latest and safest Mercedes Benz models to our fleet," says TALKE Managing Director Christoph Grunert. "Investing in the latest technology demonstrates our commitment to the highest safety and environmental standards. By renewing our fleet , we are making an important contribution to greater road safety and environmental protection." TALKE will continuously commission additional units in the coming weeks and months, ensuring that the fleet remains at the cutting edge of technology.
