GLOBAL TALKE — the joint venture between the TALKE Group and Global Spedition — is advancing a multi‑year development programme in the Riu Clar industrial area of Tarragona. Through several coordinated expansion steps, the company is reinforcing the cluster’s capacity, safety, environmental performance and operational versatility. Together, these investments strengthen the region’s role as one of Southern Europe’s most important logistics hubs for the chemical and food-related industries.

Major infrastructure upgrade with a new state-of-the-art warehouse

As part of this long-term development roadmap, GLOBAL TALKE is constructing a 9,600 m² warehouse on a 22,000 m² plot in Riu Clar. The facility offers 14,600 tons of storage capacity across eight independent sections and is designed to meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability.

• Automatic sprinkler systems and high‑flow hydrants
• 1,726 m³ firewater reserve tank
• Energy-efficient LED lighting
• Assisted natural ventilation to reduce energy consumption
• Rainwater collection, filtration and sealed spill‑protection systems

With this addition, GLOBAL TALKE’s total operating footprint in Spain will exceed 120,000 m², further reinforcing Tarragona as a strategic location for chemical logistics in the Mediterranean corridor.

Increasing capacity and strengthening safety: six INOX silos added

In a subsequent expansion step, GLOBAL TALKE enhanced its handling capabilities with six INOX silos. These silos increase storage volume, improve process stability and strengthen the company’s ability to manage sensitive solid materials safely and efficiently.
