OUR STRATEGIC CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENTAL GOALS
- Climate: We actively contribute to limiting climate change and improving air quality. By 2040, we will achieve net-zero emissions for the emissions we can directly influence (Scope 1 and 2).
- Product Safety and Circular Economy: We pursue a “zero-loss strategy” for the products entrusted to us and are committed to preventing plastic pellet emissions as an industry leader. We regard waste as a valuable resource and consistently promote the principles of the circular economy.
- Water Resource Management: We recognize water as a vital and limited resource. Our goal is to use water responsibly and efficiently.
- Sustainable Supply Chain: We extend our responsibility across the entire supply chain and establish sustainability as a key criterion in collaboration with our partners.

Transparent Environmental Performance
With its 2025 Environmental Statement, TALKE provides transparent insights into the environmental performance of the German sites included in the EMAS scope. The validated report presents key environmental data, objectives, and measures aimed at continuously improving our environmental performance. Based on an independent audit, it demonstrates our commitment to responsible and sustainable chemical logistics.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT WITH A SYSTEM
At key locations, we have implemented either the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) environmental management system or ISO 14001. These effective frameworks help us systematically improve our environmental performance, set measurable Group-wide objectives, transparently document our progress, and foster innovations that are both environmentally and economically sustainable.
For us, going beyond legal requirements and actively contributing to sustainable development is simply part of our responsibility.
CONSISTENT REDUCTION OF CO2 EMISSIONS
TALKE is aware of the urgency of the global climate crisis and takes this responsibility seriously. Through continuous investments in modern technologies and efficient processes, we strive to steadily reduce our CO₂ emissions.
- For emissions directly under our control (Scopes 1 and 2), we have set a target to reduce emissions by 70% by 2035.
- Together with our suppliers, we will gradually define reduction targets for our indirect Scope 3 emissions.
No plastic in the environment
MEMBER OF OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP ®
TALKE is a member of Operation Clean Sweep ®. This global initiative aims to control and prevent the discharge of plasitc granulates, flakes and powders. It is a voluntary initiative of the plastics industry and promotes cooperation, training and further education on this important topic. With this in mind, TALKE is optimizing its processes, offering training and investing in high-quality equipment.
MEASUREMENT AND FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
For TALKE, transparency and accountability are essential. Therefore, we not only want to measure our greenhouse gas emissions, but also record the consumption of relevant resources. By 2030, we will have created comprehensive concepts to further increase our efficiency in resource use and to reduce our ecological footprint.
