Cologne, July 23, 2026 - TALKE has joined Germany’s federal transport organization, supporting the civil emergency preparedness efforts of the Federal Republic of Germany. During an official ceremony in Cologne, Christian Hoffmann, President of the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM), presented the certificate of participation to Alfred Talke, Chairman of the Board of the TALKE Group.
The federal transport organization is a nationwide network of more than 1,200 transport and logistics companies that have committed to supporting the supply of essential goods and services to the public, businesses and public institutions in extraordinary crisis situations. The Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility coordinates the collaboration within the framework of Germany’s civil emergency preparedness system.
“We are pleased to contribute our expertise - while at the same time hoping that such support will never be required,” said Alfred Talke during the certificate presentation ceremony. With nearly 80 years of experience in chemical logistics, the TALKE Group contributes extensive expertise to the network. The family-owned company stands for safe, reliable and responsible logistics solutions for the chemical industry and other demanding industrial sectors. Christian Hoffmann welcomed TALKE’s membership, stating that the addition of TALKE brings a highly respected logistics company to the federal emergency preparedness network for road transport, strengthening Germany’s security of supply in times of crisis.
For the TALKE Group, participation in the TOB underlines its understanding of responsible logistics. Resilient supply chains, high safety standards and reliable partnerships are essential to ensuring that industry and society remain operational even under exceptional circumstances. “Reliability is demonstrated not only in day-to-day operations, but above all in the ability to take responsibility when it is needed. Our participation in the federal transport organization reflects precisely this commitment,” said Alfred Talke.
